Flux brings together objects such as a broken glass, a used cigarette or a dying flower, to create a mise-en-scéne frozen in an undeclared moment. In the center of this installation sits a TV projecting the the viewer’s own image. As the viewer faces its own presence through this screen, the forceful reality of ‘that very moment’ captures the whole installation by making the any other object ineffective or faint. However, in the course of time, the viewer’s image will constantly flow by turning the present into the past in every second, and the present will have to defeat to the flux of time by making a contrast with Scrooge’s odd story of travel in time.

Flux was featured at the exhibition, Shadows Will Guide Me, curated by Osman Can Yerebakan at Irondale Center in Brooklyn, New York from December 21st to 22nd, 2012. This exhibition is organized as a part of the staging of A Christmas Carol; A Ghost Story produced by Laurie Strickland and Jamie Bullins.
